Hidden Falls Adventure Park is an adrenaline junkie’s dream and a place the whole family can enjoy. The vast and varied outdoor landscape is designed for dirt bikes, ATVs and full-size off-roading vehicles. Ride through the various exhilarating courses available for all levels of mastery. Hidden Falls Adventure Park is designed for you to bring in your own off-roading vehicles and does not offer off-roading rentals at this time. If you are looking for a place to rent off-roading vehicles from they recommend contacting Hill Country Adventure Rentals who will be able to get you set up with everything you will need for a day of fun at the park.

  1. Explore the Universe

Take dad to see the stars this Father’s Day at Canyon of the Eagles resort.

The public is welcome to attend the 8 p.m. Eagle Eye Observatory session on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, including Father’s Day. The sessions are led by an astronomer who will guide you through the seasonal wonders of the universe. No two sessions are alike, and guests are encouraged to ask questions and look through the telescopes. The public guest must stop by the resort front desk to obtain a ticket that will allow entry into the Eagle Eye Observatory session. Please allow time to do so — the sessions start promptly. The public may arrive early and enjoy other resort amenities, including nature trails, the lakefront, and a firepit that is included with park fee.  Reservations and prepayment are a must since group size is limited to 20 for maximum enjoyment and social distancing. Start Father’s Day right with breakfast at the Bluebonnet Cafe. They have been serving up fresh homecooked-style meals since 1929. And with breakfast all day you can start celebrating whenever you want. They are open until 1:45 on Sundays.

 

An all-time classic burger might be just what dad ordered. Why not try Moonie’s Burger House.
Great juicy burgers with fresh ingredients! We love the El Diablo Burger with grilled jalapenos and diablo sauce and sweet potato fries. The Classic Burger and Philly Cheesesteak (sirloin, mushrooms, pepper jack cheese) are incredible as well. And the Resolution Wrecker, if you’re up to it — we’re not even talking about calories. Twelve years voted Best Burger around. Sweet sourdough buns. Offers lambs, vegan and vegetarian. Great shakes as well.

If you want to spice things up, try Oli’s Kitchen.

Enjoy elevated Mexican food with organic ingredients grown straight from the owner/chef’s garden. Whether it’s lunch, dinner, Sunday brunch or happy hour, Oli’s is a can’t-miss spot for street tacos, fajitas, burritos, margaritas and more. Excellent service with simple welcoming decor. Best menu options: Surf and Turf Enchiladas, Fish Tacos, Carne Asada Enchiladas, Grilled Chicken Fajitas, Charred Beans and Mexican Martinis. As a heads-up, chips and salsa are not complimentary, but worth it as we support one of our favorite local restaurants. You will want to try Oli’s on Saturday, they are not open Sundays.

Nothing could be nicer than a day at the lake casting a line and chatting with dad. Located on the Colorado River in Burnet and Llano Counties, Lake Marble Falls has a maximum depth of 60 feet making it perfect for fishing from a boat. With the right bait and a little patience, you’ll find largemouth bass, catfish and sunfish. Just 10 minutes from downtown Marble Falls, Lake Marble Falls is narrow, and the shorelines are typically steep with rock bluffs or boulders. A few docks and boat houses surround the water’s edge. Cover in the form of aquatic vegetation, standing timber or laydowns is limited.

Rent a boat to take Dad on a sunset cruise at Lake LBJ Yacht Club and Marina. The marina rents boats near Horseshoe Bay at the south end of the dam on lake LBJ right next door to Bay Marine. Wakeboards, kneeboards, and tubes are also available for rent.
