Fill the Dog Days of Summer with Fun and Festivals Near Gregg Ranch

Jun 30, 2022

The time from mid-July until the middle of August is known as the dog days of summer. And while you might think that’s because days can be so hot our four-legged friends just laze around, think again. The phrase is a reference to the fact that, during this time, the Sun occupies the same region of the sky as Sirius, the brightest star visible from any part of Earth, and part of the constellation Canis Major, the Greater Dog.
