Lake Travis Community Library
The community library aims to provide reading, viewing and listening materials, as well as programs that stimulate thinking, knowledge and improve leisure time. The library has access to quality electronic resources, with the goal to be a focal point of the community while uniting people in the Lake Travis area.
Volunteer opportunities include organizing materials, technology coaching, helping with the bookstore, material processing and special programs. Volunteers are asked to commit to at least one 2-3 hour shift each week, and at least six months of volunteering.

Austin Kids Can!
The mission of Austin Kids Can! is to empower economically disadvantaged youth in the Austin area by providing them with quality after-school programs that focus on self-confidence, emotional strength and technology skills. This non-profit organization aims to change the odds for underprivileged children, with the idea that a good education is the key to escaping poverty.
Volunteer opportunities include part-time internships that offer a variety of roles and projects including event planning, social media and marketing. College credit may be offered depending on school requirements. Teaching assistant roles are also available, with a focus on either computer science/coding or social and emotional learning. Volunteers commit to a semester long program and assist teachers for two hours, once a week.

New Century Hospice- Marble Falls is committed to high quality hospice care that addresses the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and their families. Their hospice teams provide compassionate service when life matters most, with programs that encompass every important aspect of clinical care.

CASA for the Highland Lakes Area
CASA advocates for the best interests of abused and neglected children in court. They promote and support quality volunteering for children that aims to provide a safe and permanent home. As trained advocates, CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to be a voice for children in court.
Becoming a CASA volunteer means you are willing to commit to at least one year of volunteering, communicate orally and in writing, participate in training programs, pass background checks and are over age 21. CASA volunteers get to become part of the child’s life, gathering information on them and using this to report to the court and advocate for the child’s needs. Volunteers commit to represent and advocate for a child’s best interests until they find a permanent home.
