Supporting Small Businesses

Mar 23, 2020

Marble Falls is home to dozens of small businesses that are constantly adding to the culture of this vibrant town. Supporting these small businesses in and around Marble Falls has never been more important. They need our support and you can be a part of that equation. Here are six simple ways you can help support the amazing and diverse small businesses in Marble Falls.

For specific local information, the Marble Falls Chamber of Commerce has created an incredibly  valuable website that is continually being kept up to date with locations that are open and what specials they are offering at this time. Find the information you need here.

Order Takeout or Delivery

Thankfully, we live in a day and age when much of what we do can be done digitally. Take the time to place an order for pick-up at your favorite spots or place an order delivery through Grubhub, Uber Eats, Postmates, DoorDash and more.

Buy Gift Cards

Buy a gift card to be used at a later time or to give as a gift. This allows the business to use your money now which will support their current needs. This is a great option if you find yourself not having any immediate needs from small businesses but are looking for ways to support.

Consider a Donation

If you usually do not spend a lot of time out and about or are feeling extra generous, consider a donation to your favorite local business. They will greatly appreciate it.

Buy Local Produce

Living in Texas Hill Country we have access to several amazing local farmers. It’s helpful to purchase your fresh produce from them because it can’t be moved to other locations and if it is not sold, it will go to waste.

Share Online

If you are not able to purchase from a small business at the current time but still want to support in other ways, this can easily be done by sharing information about the business on your own social media accounts. Share the specials they are offering, what your favorite product is from them or interact with their accounts so they will show up in other users’ newsfeeds.

Be Patient

Be patient with the small businesses as they are in a time of transition and determining what would be the best route for them. Follow their social media accounts and look for updates in the coming days.
