6 Best Holiday Events In and Around Marble Falls

Creating memories is easy this time of year in Marble Falls, where memorable activities and events lift your spirit and rekindle holiday magic. We’ve selected our top six – all found in and around Marble Falls – and all perfect for any age to experience.


Each is just minutes from Gregg Ranch, Marble Falls’ newest master-planned community launching in 2020. 240 acres and planned for 700 single-family and 250 multi-family residences, at completion it is planned to have an outdoor pool, ramada, barbecue area, shaded play area, bocce ball, horseshoe pits, dog park and 5.5 miles of jogging and biking trails throughout the community.


Walkway of Lights

Experience the 29th annual Walkway of Lights at Lakeside Park in Marble Falls. This magical family-friendly event has a walking path filled with more than two million lights. During the week, let the little ones experience fun adventures in Santa Land. On the weekends, gather up everyone for a timeless picture with Santa.

Christmas Market on Main

Christmas Market on Main, a spinoff from the regular market that runs throughout the year, is the perfect spot to find local artisan goods and foods. From handmade leather goods, exceptionally carved art and unique home décor, find local artists dedicated to their craft. Take time to try the delicious restaurants surrounding the market in historic downtown Marble Falls.

Ultimate Holiday Hill Country Experience

Get a better taste of the Texas Hill Country while visiting the Flat Creek Estate winery. During the winter months, experience a wine tasting and tour to get to know the unique Hill Country. Bring the whole family. While the adults enjoy a wine tasting the kids can join in a game of disc golf. If you are looking for a more-intimate setting register for the elevated dining experience, which includes a mini wine tasting and a three-course meal.

Ballet Austin: The Nutcracker

Come experience holiday magic with the marvelous talents of Ballet Austin, Ballet Austin Academy and Austin Symphony Orchestra in their performance of the holiday classic “The Nutcracker.” The seasonal classic puts everyone in the mood for the season. Bring the whole family.

Holiday Afternoon Tea

You must venture to Austin for this one, but it definitely is among those events where special holiday memories are made. Spend the afternoon with loved ones while eating festive finger sandwiches and your choice of tea, wine or a mimosa. Dressing to impress is encouraged!

Chuy’s Christmas Parade

This exciting tradition includes a procession of giant balloons, marching bands and parade floats. Find a spot along the route with your family and kick off the holidays with a big celebration benefitting Operation Blue Santa by bringing new and unwrapped toys for children in need.
