8 Best Holiday Events In and Around Marble Falls

Creating memories is easy this time of year in Marble Falls, where memorable activities and events lift your spirit and rekindle holiday magic. We’ve selected our top six – all found in and around Marble Falls – and all perfect for any age to experience.

Each is just minutes from Gregg Ranch, Marble Falls’ newest master-planned community launching in 2020. 240 acres and planned for 700 single-family and 250 multi-family residences, at completion it is planned to have an outdoor pool, ramada, barbecue area, shaded play area, bocce ball, horseshoe pits, dog park and 5.5 miles of jogging and biking trails throughout the community.

 

Downton Christmas Tree Lighting

The official lighting of the Downtown Christmas Tree gets the Marble Falls Holiday season started! After the tree is lit shortly after sunset, stick around for a screening of The Grinch on the lawn at Harmony Park.

Walkway of Lights

Experience the 32nd annual Walkway of Lights at Lakeside Park in Marble Falls. This magical family-friendly event has a walking path filled with more than two million lights. Scheduled theme nights will be happening throughout the duration of this event, so be sure to keep an eye out.

Marble Falls Holiday Light Up Parade

On December 2nd, celebrate the start of the holiday season in Downtown Marble Falls! Sign up your family or group to participate as a float in the Light Up Parade. Powered floats, vehicles, horses, marching and walking groups are welcome, but must be lit and include family friendly music.  Come compete to be crowned the BEST FLOAT of 2022.  The cost to register your float is free, but donations are welcome to help support the event. For a full set of rules and regulations, please go to the website at www.visitmarblefalls.org/parade. The deadline to register is Monday, November 28th.

Christmas Market on Main

Christmas Market on Main, a spinoff from the regular market that runs throughout the year, is the perfect spot to find local artisan goods and foods. From handmade leather goods, exceptionally carved art and unique home décor, find local artists dedicated to their craft. Take time to try the delicious restaurants surrounding the market in historic downtown Marble Falls. Over 60 vendors for you to browse and enjoy on Market Day.

Starry, Starry Nights in Llano

Get into the holiday spirit visiting the annual Starry, Starry Nights display in Badu Park. Stroll along the Llano river enjoying all the displays that light up, while sipping on hot coco. Santa Claus attends every Friday and Saturday through December 21. On the weekends you can enjoy drinks, snacks, and crafts. A 40 minute drive from Marble Falls, TX that will keep your holiday festivities going.

Ballet Austin brings The Nutcracker Home for the Holidays 

The 60th seasonal classic The Nutcracker, “home for the holidays” is transforming the in-person production to an interactive, multi-media, experience that is available to all from the comfort of their homes. The online production will include interactive experiences, signature dances and scenes, holiday traditions, and dozens of video-on-demand featurettes. Get the family together one evening, bake your best holiday treat, and enjoy The Nutcracker at home.

Holiday Afternoon Tea

You must venture to Austin for this one, but it definitely is among those events where special holiday memories are made. Spend the afternoon with loved ones while eating festive finger sandwiches and your choice of tea, wine or a mimosa. The offer two options for Afternoon Tea: Light and Full. Dressing to impress is encouraged!

Lights Spectacular

Take a short drive to Johnson City to visit the Lights Spectacular, Holiday event. Johnson City drapes itself in Christmas lights with 100,000 bulbs over the Blanco County Courthouse. Throughout the historic square, two million twinkling lights cover the beautiful architecture. Take a holiday stroll through what they call it “The Twinkliest Town in Texas”. To connect with Santa, they will be using their North Pole Express Mail to allow the children to interact with him.
